About the Instructor:
Meg Healy began to sew at the age of 12, where she began experimenting with fabric and seams on her little domestic sewing machine. In 2007 her efforts and passion led her to study Fashion Design, in one of Canada’s leading design programs, found at Fanshawe College in London Ontario. She graduated with two academic awards for her technical skills in pattern making and advanced sewing. She then relocated to New York City in order to further her fashion education at Parsons the New School for Design.

During her studies in NYC she was a pattern making intern at Vera Wang and eventually landed an internship at BurdaStyle. This ultimately led Meg to become the Online Editor and eCommerce manager at where she manages the sewing pattern content and blog, as well as engage users to sew through style posts, studio projects, and sewing/design how-tos.

In addition, she is also one of the faces of BurdaTV, where she films sewing and pattern drafting tutorial videos. She now resides and works from her Toronto, Canada studio where she lives her dream everyday sewing and creating innovative content for BurdaStyle.
